Massage Gun Buyer's Guide
Everything you need to know before buying a percussion massage device.
Percussion Speed
Measured in RPM (revolutions per minute). Higher speeds deliver more
intense therapy. Most devices offer 1750-3300 RPM across 3-5 speed
settings.
Stall Force
The amount of pressure the motor can handle before stalling. Higher
stall force (40-60+ lbs) is better for dense muscle tissue and serious
athletes.
Battery Life
Look for 150+ minutes of runtime. Some models have swappable batteries
for unlimited use. Consider this if you travel or have multiple users.
Weight & Portability
Massage guns range from 1-3 lbs. Mini models are great for travel,
while full-size options offer more power. Consider where you'll use it
most.
Noise Level
Look for models with quiet motor technology (45-60 dB). Some brands
advertise "whisper quiet" operation which matters in shared spaces.
Attachments
Most devices come with 4-6 attachment heads. Look for: standard ball,
bullet, flat, and wedge attachments for different muscle groups.
